There are three other preemption statutes in the categories of immigration, food, and anti-competition. Below is a list of the statutes, the title, a brief description of what they do, and when they were adopted.
This is an anti-immigration statute implemented in response to Wyandotte County passing the Safe and Welcoming Ordinance, which directed local police to not comply with Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) upon interacting with undocumented immigrants. This statute prevents municipalities from prohibiting the following provisions:
Communicating or cooperating with federal officials
Sending to or receiving information from the United States department of homeland security
Obtaining or maintaining information
Exchanging information with another federal, state, or local government entity.

This statute prevents municipalities from requiring food labeling information beyond levels determined by the state.
Adopted: 2016
This statute prevents municipalities from selling paving material (crushed rock, asphalt, gravel, aggregate sand or other materials used to pave roads, streets and drives) if a nongovernmental entity is selling such materials.
